As President of Placer Hills Education Foundation (PHEF) I have trusted Darci to be our website director for 3 years now. She has created the website and manages it on an ongoing basis. Her work is excellent, she modernized our out-dated website and has kept it current and looking it's best.
In today's market, we are judged by our online presence long before anyone ever meets us, so it is very important that our website accurately reflects our foundation. An 8 year old website is called ancient history.
The foundation president asked me refresh their old website that was developed in 2009. There is nothing worse than going to a website and finding information that is incorrect or out of date. In the case of the PHEF website, I was able to remove the old stale content from the past 8 years and replace it with current information and images using a new WordPress template. In addition to the updates, I am helping to be bridge of communication from the board of directors to the site.
The main goal of the website is to collect money for the foundation through events and donations. Secondarily, the website is used to explain what the funds support in extracurricular activities for the students in the Placer Hills School District. The different programs are highlighted in the slideshow supported by articles that further explain the benefits to the students thereby promoting more donations to the foundation.
PHEF has raised close to a half million dollars since 2005 thanks to many generous donors and volunteers, PHEF has been able to provide funding for a wide range of programs and equipment at both schools.
